Cultural Resource Consultants LLC provides expert professional services for cultural resource management throughout Alaska. Founded in 1975, we are the oldest Alaskan-owned and operated cultural resource management firm in the state. We meet federal and state guidelines for a small business, are woman-owned, and are well-qualified to undertake a wide variety of projects involving traditional cultural properties, pre-contact and historic period archaeological sites, historic buildings, cultural landscapes, and artifact collections.
We have nearly 40 years of experience in advising clients on cultural resource issues and assisting them in complying with their obligations under Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the Alaska Historic Preservation Act (AHPA). We also have cooperatively completed many studies and associated documentation necessary for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and applications for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licenses.
Over the years, we have built a reputation for professionalism and quality of work. We retain a skilled staff and maintain relationships with specialists to ensure we have the expertise to do the work right. Our services span all aspects of cultural resource management from consultation, to archaeological and architectural surveys and evaluations, to mitigation and the creation of agreement documents, such as Memoranda of Agreement (MOA), Programmatic Agreements (PA), and Historic Property Management Plans (HPMP).
